Samuel French served in the Revolutionary War and was held captive for four years. Afterwards, he married Tamison Eastman and they had three children. Tragically, Samuel committed suicide by hanging in 1799.

Major General Stephen Abbot was a successful merchant in Salem. He was an officer in the Revolutionary War and later held the rank of Major General in the Massachusetts Militia. He and his wife Sarah had ten children although seven of the children died in childhood.
